The Midwest Alliance for Health Education (MAHE) will focus on supporting the quality of rural health care through delivery of timely, valuable training for rural health professionals.
The Midwest Alliance for Telehealth & Technology Resources (MATTeR) is pleased to announce a new telehealth initiative designed to assist rural health care providers in remaining up-to-date on the latest in available medical information in response to today’s fast-paced, ever-evolving medical environment. The Midwest Alliance for Health Education (MAHE) was created in direct response to critical rural health provider issues:
MAHE’s objective is to provide the energy and imagination that enables linking the resources and activities of a variety of organizations so qualified health care information can be available at the most appropriate time, and in the most appropriate format for updating the knowledge of rural health care providers.
Strategically, MAHE plans to maximize current and potential collaborative resources to target an improved quality of health care in rural communities through the development of a multi-state health education consortium.
MAHE activities will be based on these fundamental principles:
MAHE received a 2008 Network Planning grant from the US Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration, Office of Rural Health Policy. The lead partners for this initiative are:
