Clinical Telemedicine

Real time interactions between a health care provider and a patient conducted using video conferencing and telecommunications technology.   Examinations are made possible by additional hand held cameras, electronic stethescopes, otoscopes.  Medicare reimburses for visits conducted by telemedicine.  Medicaid and other private insurers reimburse as well but policies are variable in each state.
