Many structural issues arise when an organization implements clinical telehealth.Accrediting organizations such as The Joint Commission set forth standards that affect credentialing of practitioners, staff competencies, quality improvement processes and infection control practices.Other organizations such as Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Serviced (CMS) have additional standards for compliance.
